California puts the "CA" in ca-razy

California puts the "CA" in ca-razy

Seems like anything goes around here lately. Biblical amounts of rainfall. Shooting tigers so they don't attack morning traffic. And the bartender at my local watering hole bought me two rounds last night during which I met the first black man on television ("before Nat Cole", he claims). I'm not exactly sure what's happening now, but it seems like some region-wide transition period. I'm a little wary of what comes next.

Listening to:
  • Thunder, Lightning, Strike, The Go! Team
  • The Futureheads, The Futureheads
  • Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, Wilco
  • A Ghost is Born, Wilco
  • All About Lily Chou Chou OST

    705

    705

I listened to Wilco's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot today for the first time in a while. It made me think of my favorite year in college during which I spent a year with seven of the best housemates a fella could ever ask for (with a few notable additions if it were a fifteen or twenty person house). I just wanted to give a little shout-out to you cats to let you know I'm thinking about you.

Anyway, peace out. I've got commercials to film.

While I'm waiting for VALIS, I might as well see...

I don't know if I'm the only one who's read the book (and Eric has too, I believe), but I'm really freaking excited about Richard Linklater adapting A Scanner Darkly into the filmic realm, especially after seeing this. That's just neat-o. Dubious casting, but one heck of a teaser.

    Office vs. Office

    Office vs. Office

    First there was The Office.

Now comes...The Office. (Man, "office" is a really funny looking word when it's all over the place.)

After the Coupling disaster, I'm more than a little wary.

    Hunter S. Thompson

    Hunter S. Thompson

Hunter S. Thompson fatally shot himself tonight.

Jesus Christ. It seems like my blog has become an obituary page. Sad stuff, man.
