Finally.

Finally.

Scorsese got his Oscar. I didn't think I'd see it in my lifetime.

Almost as unbelievable: Ghost Rider maintained the number one box office spot this past weekend. There must be some kind of astrological phenomenon going on or something.

Watching:
  • "The Oscars"
  • "The Wire - Season One"
  • Alice in Wonderland
  • Running with Scissors

    Reading:
  • Godel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid, Douglas R. Hofstadter
  • The Nightmare Factory, Thomas Ligotti
  • Blake's Selected Poems, William Blake
  • Doom Patrol: Magic Bus - Volume 5, Grant Morrison, Brian Bolland, Richard Case, Stan Woch, Ken Steacy

At some point my little backwoods area will have "Venus" "The Departed" and "The Last King of Scotland" on DVD so as I can form an opinion on them. I'm willing to bet that Forrest Whitaker truely deserved his Oscar and O'Toole will have to contend with his Honorary Oscar (which when you think about it is really great. Consider 1) they are reportedly bigger than the other Oscars; 2) How many ACTORS have an Honorary? Yeah.. the Ones that are AWESOME).
