More of the same old, same old

More of the same old, same old

Sorry this is such a meager blog post. Maybe I'll post something after Miss Kate gets here on Thursday. Other than having the guys in town and having Kate on the horizon, I haven't really been doing a whole lot. Some reading, some movie watching. I start another movie this coming Monday (a Western, with the heat and the snakes), but I'm just hanging out and entertaining company until then.

[NOTE: Sorry about the poorly aligned quiz bit. I'm not going to take the time to fix it, though.]

Your brain: 120% interpersonal, 120% visual, 140% verbal, and 20% mathematical!
Congratulations on being 400% smart! Actually, on my test, everyone is. The above score breaks down what kind of thinking you most enjoy
doing. A score above 100% means you use that kind of thinking more than
average, and a score below 100% means you use it less. It says nothing
about how good you are at any one, just how interested you are in each, relatively. A substantial difference in scores between two people means, conclusively, that they are different kinds of thinkers.

Matching Summary: Each of us has different tastes. Still, I offer the following advice, which I think is obvious:

  1. Don't date someone if your interpersonal percentages differ by more than 80%.
  2. Don't be friends with someone if your verbal percentages differ by more than 100%.
  3. Don't have sex with someone if their math percentage is over 200%.

My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

ok, which 'three musketeers" movie are you watching??:

    * the animated version with mickey, donald and goofy that was just released
    * the 1940's version with gene kelly and lana turner (which is good if you wanna see a bunch of actors in one movie: angela lansbury, vincent price, june allyson, keenan wynn and reginald owen)
    * the 1970's version with oliver reed and raquel welch
    * the 1993 disney version with keifer and chris o'donnell
    * the serial version from the 1930's (i think) with john wayne
    * the don ameche version from 1939 or 1940 in which d'artangnan sings!

    or

    * the 1920's version with douglas fairbanks (which may or may not be avaliable on dvd, i've only seen it on AMC)

you can't just throw out movie titles like that and expect us to know which version you are talking about!! :)

I was wondering when someone would red flag that one, Matt. Turns out not too long. I'm referring to the '93 Disney version. Oliver Platt is awesome in that film.

No worries there, my friend. I never confuse my Matts. But of course I remember you, Matt-I-went-to-school-with and will be emailing you sometime in the coming week to catch up on what you've been doing.
