The first marriage: or the beginning of the end
The first marriage: or the beginning of the end
So my lady friend, Jessie, sent me home for my first close friends' marriage. The balls on this girl! She 411'ed my parents leaving a message saying that she hoped that she'd gotten the right number. My parents paid the difference (whatever that difference might be) for my plane ticket home, and so here I am in Alton once again. I've yet to make it to my original favorite movie theater (the Tivoli theater in U-City), but I'm sure I'll catch something playing there sometime during the week. Seems that's going to be Major Dundee because I've already seen Kung Fu Hustle (see it) and I've no desire to see Look at Me. Feh.
So I'm basically catching up on sleep, computer games, comics and music at the moment. I'm also planning my counter-attack on a certain plane ticket-buying young lady. I'll update if anything of note (besides the wedding) happens this weekend.

Whose wedding? Anyone we know? (We being the C-U people...I'm speaking for all of us.)
Not anyone you guys know. They're people from my high school. Adorable, I know. These kids have been dating for upwards of six years, and they're finally gettin' hitched. I can't wait until the wedding reception. I'm sure my parents are going to love taking me home. Luckily it's only a five minute drive from reception to their place.

i loved going to my friends weddings from high school... i think i'm the only one left who ISN'T married yet. and as far as uncle scrooge goes... it brought back lots of childhood memories! that was THE comic that got me into comic books! :) so when i saw it, i got overwhelmed with excitement and just left with it! :)

Hi Drew! My name is Michelle, and I'm one of Jessie's friends from Minnesota. She was showing me your picture from your online journal, and what can I say, I approve! Hope you're having fun at your friend's wedding. Maybe I'll talk to you again soon!

Oi! I'm from your High SChool. who was it? Details!
Jake and Amanda. They throw one means wedding reception, too, man. By the end of the night I'd danced with every girl (and most of the guys) there, taken a shot with a friend's mom and gotten my ass grabbed by a friend. Erica--John and Josh's sister--is still sore from dancing two days later. It was some pretty darn good times, brutha.

By the way, hello Michelle. Jessie's talked quite a bit about you (although I'm not sure I've seen a picture). Hopefully we will talk at some later point.
