Busy Weekend

Busy Weekend

Jessie and I worked a half a day--an easy day--on Saturday and pulled in a full day's salary. We were out by noon. It was gloriously easy money.

I discovered that my local library has a graphic novels section. God help me, I pulled a fat stack outta that mother on Saturday after which Jessie and I had a nice sit down and read in a park nearby.

Unfortunately I'm still sick and still working tomorrow. It wouldn't be so bad if the Cards weren't one loss away from next season. Time to get my positive thinking on.

Watching:
  • The Man Who Fell to Earth (Think Citizen Kane mixed with Stranger in a Strange Land.)
  • Waking Ned Devine
  • Eyes Without a Face
  • "Nip/Tuck - The Complete First Season"
  • The Bird People of China

    Reading:
  • A Sound of Thunder and Other Stories (Finished...finally.)
  • Essential Fantastic Four Vol. 1 (Courtesy of my local neighborhood library)
  • The Invisibles: Apocalipstick
  • Book of Lies : The Disinformation Guide to Magick and the Occult
  • Doomed #1

I ran on to your blog through backwards K. You have a great sense of humor, and a talent for writing. Keep it up, as young as your are great things are going to come your way. Have you ever thought about acting, modeling instead of screen writing? Hey, I'm from Missouri and a Cards fan, surely I can say that :-)

Thanks for the compliments, Debbie. The number of times I've thought about breaking into modeling instead of just paying the bills or finishing a script...

Oh, and I'm not familiar with "backwards K". What kind of site is it?

Backwards K is a guy into baseball mainly, at least that is the subject of most of his blogs. He just had a list of blogs to "look" into. I suppose he thinks you are talented, as do I. I'm serious when I say you should look into modeling. My twin daughters did a few commercials and some modeling, it's a hard industry to get into, but you certainly have the looks.
And I don't mean that in some sort of wierd way, I'm probably old enough to be your mother. Well....almost :0
