Busy, busy

Busy, busy

John Cho of Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle fame was at my birthday bash last night. He sang a rousing rendition of "Beast of Burden" by the Rolling Stones.

I also worked my first day of the Magic Johnson Foundation shoot. He's one cool hombre doing some good work. I even got to shake The Man's hand. It was keen.

Watching:
  • Gunner Palace
  • What the #$*! Do We (K)now!? (Lots of experts in their respective fields making broad and unsubstantiated statements [and that's being quite generous] about fields in which they are not experts to create a notion of reality that has more holes than War of the Worlds [or perhaps more holes than quantam foam would be the poorer but more appropriate joke]. One of my pet peeves is when people make broad and brash statements with no proof to back up said statements. This film is one big pet peeve.)

    Listening to:
  • Ratatat, Ratatat
  • Since I Left You, The Avalanches
  • Illinois, Sufjan Stevens
  • Ok Cowboy, Vitalic

I went to a bowling alley/karaoke joint in Eagle Rock called All-Star Lanes. It's a great place when there are just the right amount of people there. Too few or too many messes up the experience.

Reva, I've gotta warn you: I'm not a Tim Burton fan. I'm going to see the movie, but I thought I'd just throw that out there. I'm also booked until well after the movie opens. How about a slightly grumpy viewing after July 24?
