One year closer to dying and/or of being awesome

One year closer to dying and/or of being awesome

So here's the birthday breakdown:

I just got home from work, which started at 7PM July 8th and ran until 2:30AM July 9th (my birthday). I'll probably get to sleep at around 4AM my time. Tomorrow?

  • 11:30AM - Work meeting. Jessie and I are working an anniversary thing for a Magic Johnson foundation July 10 - 18, and we've got a paid meeting tomorrow. $175 per day including the two hour meeting tomorrow. Boo-yah.

  • (Pie making. I'm getting a pumpkin pie for my birthday instead of a cake...because pie is delicious.)

  • 4:30PM - Dance rehearsal for a hair show I'm gong to be in late July. I know, but other straight guys are doing it, too. It's also a free trip to Vegas.

  • 7:30PM - Free Fantastic Four screening and Q & A with the cast (and possibly director).

  • 10:30PM - Karaoke and drinking.

I've also got a California driver's license coming with a decent picture, I'll have you know. Full head of hair, a tan and everything. Plus I only missed one on my written driver test without studying so I'm a goddamn genius.

PS - Sufjan Steven's album, Illinois, contains reference to my hometown(s) both explicitly (my second hometown, Godfrey, is referenced in "A Conjunction of Drones Simulating the Way In Which Sufjan Stevens Has an Existential Crisis In the Great Godfrey Maze" [and the maze is really only great in title]) and obliquely ("The Tallest Man, the Broadest Shoulders, Pt. I: The Great Frontier / Pt. II: Come to Me Only With Playthings Now" references my original hometown of Alton, which was home to Robert Wadlow, the world's tallest man.) They are clearly the two greatest songs ever written...ever.

Sounds good to me. I'm pretty much booked until July 24, but I should hopefully get some free days after that. We can do a meet half-way kind of thing. Someplace beach-y. Sound good?
