Man, any Kevin Smith fans have got to pick up the Clerks Tenth Anniverssary Edition DVD. It's got three discs, and it's absolutely packed with special features. Good stu...What?...37?
[UPDATE: For whatever reason--I'm sure it has to do with a quality viewing of Jay and Silent Bob and fond memories of An Evening with Kevin Smith--I've been really getting into Smith's work as of late. I picked up the Chasing Amy DVD the other day and now, obviously, Clerks. X, and I must say I'm enjoying the hell out of them. Now I'm just wondering how it took me so long to start buying his stuff. You can't see it, but I'm kicking myself right now. A feat of acrobatics that surprises even myself.]

I've loved Smith's work since the beginning (or at least shortly thereafter). It took me a while to actually purchase all his movies though. I only got Clerks just a few months ago. So of course now he releases an uber-special edition. Dammit.
Drew... finally you come around to my line of thinking. I have been a fan since High School. You, in high school, poo-pooped. But now you see the light. You know, Kevin Smith is planning on releasing a sequel to Clerks?
A lot of people seem to think that the Clerks sequel is a direct response to the fact that 'Jersey Girl' was a tremendous flop. Smith said he was done with the View Askewniverse, but now he's jumping straight back after one bad with this first attempt at a mainstream movie. He's also all but decided to give up the 'Green Hornet' movie he was set to direct too. He says he will finish writing it but then pass it on to someone else to direct. He doesn't feel safe with it, so he's going back to an area he feels comfortable in.
Jersey Girl only flopped because of the supposed Affleck/Lopez imbroglio. If Gigli had at least made money im positive that Jersey Girl would have fared better.
Also, I think the distrubution was screwed. I didnt see it in theatres. I would have had to drive 2 hours, roughly, to see it. This is the problem with the cineplex system. Instead of getting Jersey Girl, Punisher or Ladykillers we got... lordy i dont know but it was certainly forgettable. Same goes for the week that AvP played on Two screens(mind you there are only 10 here)... Kill me now.

Do you live in the boonies or something? Maybe I'm just lucky or something. I mean, I have a 24 screen multiplex not five minutes from my house. It's great.
I also throw words like 'capricious' and 'bumtit' around like money. heh. Im also fond of 'Ergo.'
yes. I do infact live in the BFE. Houston, Tx is like 1 hr 30 mins. and thats just the EDGE of thefucking city. Houston is the 4th largest city in America because its like the Borg. It has assimilated every other burg around it.
