Woke under a bad sign

Woke under a bad sign

I woke up five times this morning under the exact same circumstances. I'd wake on my left side facing the wall and think, man, this side's uncomfortable at which point I'd roll over to my right side. Take two, same thing. Three through five, same. Each time more annoying than the last. Naturally, I woke up (finally, officially) stressed.

On the drive to work, however, I thought I'd found the culprit to my restless night: a full moon. Full moons hadn't affected me before, but this particular full moon had some unusual adornments. First of all, there was something in the atmosphere that tinted the sky red...blood red. Second of all, there appeared to be shadows crossing over the moon. I'm not superstitious, but a shadowy, blood red full moon is more than just an errant black cat or walking under a ladder. That's some Head of the Hills type of shit.

I was appeased only slightly when one of the girls at work pointed out the current partial lunar eclipse. I'll wait for the other shoe to drop (and in all probability, explode) before I let my guard down, thank you very much.
