I don't know if you guys follow the weekend box office returns, but I'll be damned if Hero wasn't this past weekend's number one film. Granted, it doesn't have much competition with Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid being the second highest grosser, but still...

hero was incredible. surprised it made #1 though, even with the awful competition.
Seriously, man. The film's gorgeous. The cast they got for it was absolutely incredible, a great mix of Hong Kong's best and brightest. I checked your profile, too. Chungking Express has got to be one of my favorite films, too (although my list has to be at least a hundred movies long). I can't wait to see Wong Kar-Wai's new film, 2046. That guy rocks my socks in all the right ways.
